CELEBRATE WORLD SOUND HEALING DAY!
Every year on 14th February, people all over the world come together for World Sound Healing Day.
It’s a beautiful event where we all take a moment to send love and healing through sound - specifically, by chanting the heart sound “AH” for a few minutes with the intention of radiating love and positive energy.
But did you know there are many healing sounds, each with its own unique benefits? These sounds have been shown to soothe not only the mind but also the soul. And while chanting together is a big part of World Sound Healing Day, it’s about so much more than just making sound. The goal is to create powerful healing vibrations that can help people and our planet as a whole.
This event is open to everyone, not just sound healers, meditators, or peace activists. If you care about humanity and our world, you’re invited to join in!
All you have to do is set aside a few moments to create these healing sounds with others around the globe. Together, we can send out a collective wave of peace, love, and harmony to help heal the Earth!

Waves Of Change Coalition
My name is Carly Jones, I am a former Sound Healing Academy student, and I've completed the Certified Level 1 Sound Healing Course, and my Level 2 Diploma (1-2-1 With Clients).
Last June, I completed my Level 1 and found it so fascinating, that I immediately signed up for the Level 2 Diploma Workshop that September in Asheville, NC! I don't have a music background so it was very important for me to feel like I had a very solid understanding of the science, spirit, and practice of sound healing, so I could add it to my practice as a social worker.
Those 5 days in Asheville were absolutely incredible! The cohort I had, the instructors, and being in Asheville was truly magical. There has been a lot of personal transition for me since last September, and the team at The Sound Healing Academy were amazing at supporting with my on-going studies!
Fast forward to today and I have officially opened my own therapy and sound healing practice, where I offer 1-2-1 sound healing, whilst really trying to push the service as an adjunct to talk therapy! My goal is for people to view and value 1-2-1 sound healing sessions as they would massage or acupuncture.
I currently practice sound with my therapy clients, and I think that sound healing is the perfect pair to talk therapy, and helping clients work through stuck emotions and trauma.
I love using the science of sound to help my clients understand the value and the power of the practice. My ultimate goal is to develop a "coalition", where my clients find community and belonging to counteract the epidemic of loneliness and isolation, in addition to the services I provide.

Sound Healing: Mood, Emotional & Spiritual Well-Being Interrelationships
A notable academic study on “Sound Healing: Mood, Emotional, and Spiritual Well-Being” by Dr. Shamini M. S. and Dr. S. S. S. (2020) examines the effects of singing-bowl sound healing on emotional and spiritual well-being.
This study provides a very good understanding of the biofield, binaural beats, the autonomic nervous system, and much more - and our Online Sound Healing Courses are the perfect way to dive deeper into these topics if you are interested in finding out more.
The study found that participants experienced significant improvements in mood, reduced tension, and decreased depressive symptoms following sound healing sessions. To conclude, the authors suggest that sound healing can be a valuable complementary therapy for managing stress and enhancing overall well-being!
The Frame Drum - A Portal Into Earth's Heartbeat
Our relationship with rhythm begins in the womb. The heartbeat we hear there, has a therapeutic and calming effect on us. This connection to the heart rhythm carries on throughout our lifetime, and can help us ground and calm down.
Different frame drum beat patterns can bring about physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing for the mind, body, and soul. When working with a shamanic drum, a simple two beat pattern can entrain the heart and brain to relax and enter altered states of consciousness. This slow rhythmic playing of the drum can help the mind access deep states of healing and calm.

Embrace Self-Love & Collective Healing
As we move through February, a month dedicated to love, let’s take time to reflect on two powerful themes: self-love and healing, both for ourselves and the world.
With Valentine’s Day and World Sound Healing Day on 14th February, we are reminded that love isn’t just something we give to others - it’s also something we must nurture within ourselves. This month, let’s explore how we can use sound and intention to foster self-compassion and contribute to the collective healing of our planet.
Reflection Practice For Self-Love & World Healing
1. Find A Quiet Space
Set aside 10-15 minutes of your day to sit comfortably without distractions. Light a candle, play some soft music, or create a peaceful environment that feels nourishing.
2. Ground Yourself
Take a few deep breaths. As you inhale, imagine drawing in grounding energy from the Earth. As you exhale, release any tension or stress from your body. Feel your connection to the Earth and its heartbeat.
3. Reflect On Self-Love
Ask yourself: How can I show more love and compassion to myself?
Close your eyes and reflect on this question. Think of moments where you’ve been hard on yourself or where you needed more kindness. How can you be gentler and more loving toward yourself moving forward?
4. Heart Sound Toning (AH Sound)
On World Sound Healing Day, we unite in toning the heart sound “AH” to radiate love. You can join this practice by gently chanting “AH” with each exhale, imagining love and healing flowing from your heart into the world. As you chant, focus on sending out peaceful and harmonious vibrations for yourself, your loved ones, and the planet.
5. Express Gratitude
Take a moment to reflect on the things, people, and experiences you’re grateful for. Write them down or simply hold them in your heart. Gratitude enhances our capacity for love and reminds us of the beauty already present in our lives.
6. Send Love To The World
As you conclude your practice, visualize sending love and healing energy to the Earth. Picture it flowing out from your heart to the people, animals, and nature all around you. Know that your intention contributes to the collective healing of the planet.
By reflecting on self-love and using sound as a tool for healing, we can nurture ourselves while playing a part in creating a more peaceful, loving world!
